Recycling was not picked up this week on Wednesday, despite blue toters being out on the curb and full.

Hello, I am opening a community bookspace at 318 Edgewood Ave. You can see in the image the facade improvements. The location is on the bikepath down Edgewood, and there is space on the sidewalk in front for a rack (or an alternative location would be along the curb on Hotchkiss). The bookspace is not even open yet (Aug 22 is day 1 for that), and a number of people have already come by on bike but without a place to lock up. If a rack could be installed sooner rather than later, it would assist the business and local bikers, and it would also maximize usage for the remainder of the year while the weather is most bike-friendly. For what it's worth: the business will be supporting another organization's biking-related author event on October 7-8, which is bringing an author and biking advocate to town. This request would have the support of both the alder and the property owner.

316 Dixwell Ave New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Dixwell
There is really dangerous pothole on Henry right before the intersection with Dixwell. It has been there for a while, and has been a serious danger to cyclists especially. It has deepened recently, and now it's just a grave danger to everyone. It could break an axle and it's a reason to swerve which is bad for everyone involve. Hitting it could lead to loss of vehicle control. It needs immediate attention.

The trash can at the corner of the park, where Pendleton and West Park meet is often overflowing. This morning, there was a whole bag of trash there on the ground, plus other items scattered around.

Bunch of junk - bags of trash and futon-like piece of furniture - has been out on the tree belt since before it snowed on Sunday. Looked a mess this morning still...

There are couches that have been left out on the curb for a few days now. Eyesore and disrespectful to neighbors, renters and owners alike...

One way sign at Hobart and Maple is down in the tree belt. Rusted bolt at the bottom of the pole seems to have snapped. Called in to Trans, Traffic and Pkg already as per new directions on SeeClickFix... They'll be out to fix.

This is not a problem! And so maybe this is the wrong spot for it, but... the city sanitation workers on the truck that rolls through my neighborhood are really wonderful. It's a little joy to see them. They're upbeat, friendly, positive. They never fail to say hello or wave. They do their work really well (I've lived in multiple cities, and this is the only one where my cans are upright and out of the way after being emptied), and they do it with kindness and style - like a little dancing while waving a car around, or a little rhythm in the can return. It's all noticed, and it's all appreciated!

Following up on the Whally/BH/Edgewood Mgmt Team FB post saying it was suggested that traffic calming comments get registered here. More than 50 residents in the neighboring blocks requested in early/mid June more consistent stop signage, especially a few more stops on Elm between W. Park and Brownell. (See letter here: http://edgewoodblockwatch.weebly.com/stop-sign-letter.html) This is still a concern of those who signed.
